Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Well it’s all over, it was a good weekend though very hot with temperatures hitting 28 or 29 on Saturday. I did spend a large portion of the time asleep due to heat and just being tired from working some very long days recently.
I took along a couple of PicoWave prototypes, GorF and a 25 [...]

An old friend

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Well, looky here….
A friend of mine is selling his MonoWave and has given it me to check over.
It’s in great condition, and despite being serial number 0007 (the 2nd production unit) it’s got version 4.07d firmware and works perfectly. no scratches or dings that I can see.
He’s asked me to sell it on his behalf, [...]

On here I’ll be posting updates about GorF (and other things I’m doing) and also hopefully be able to answer questions about my projects as they move on.

I don’t get it

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Well, in september my wife and I bought a pair of the Sony eReaders and they’re really great to read from. The screens are fab and you can fit hundreds of books on them, so if you’re travelling anywhere they’re great as they’re so small.
What I don’t get is why the ebooks are so expensive!!
At [...]

GorF and Zoybar

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

So, there’s this site that’s going to be making this funky guitar kits (bass and guitar) called Zoybar. I really like the look of them, and their holding a contest to win one of their kits. All you have to do is upload a video of something you’ve built (instrument, synth or effect).
So I’ve uploaded a [...]

Webpage update

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

I’ve updated my webpage with details of Tempest.
A few people had asked for more information, pictures and sounds, so I’ve uploaded some more and added some more detail.
Who knows, maybe it’ll spur me on to do more with it. I doubt I’ll ever make it polyphonic, but it might fun to have a monster digital/analogue [...]

Well, Another Synth DIY UK meeting has been and gone. This year was a bit more low key than previous years and we had fewer people, but the caliber of the items being shown was far from low key.
We had a superb mix of analogue and digital technologies and some new exhibitors. Plus the usual [...]
